Is there an option in VFP 9.0 to allow a text search on an open prg or sct file.

It is sometimes cumbersome to have to close them to do a search.

Thanks

Open PRG or Form.
Press Ctrl+F (Find) then if you are in form select "All Objects"

Thank you for the quick reponse.

So sorry I did not make my question more clear.

I would like to do a text search with a third party utility, "Total Commander".

I questioned them and they said it was dependent on the software that opened the file, that determined if another application could read it.

I was hoping that VFP had an option to allow this.

Thanks

especially sct files are binary files, not text only, therefore it's recommendable to use VFP internal search capabilities. Menu->Tools->Code References for example will give you a good project search.

Bye, Olaf.
