Hi there,
I am creating a black and white publication for press, newspaper type.
There is no color at all.
When I export to pdf and open in Acrobat to view the PitStop report I get an error message that Text and Line Art are RGB or Index color.
The document will not RIP at the printer.
Thanks in advance for your reply.

I have never heard of PM generating text that it cannot handle in the PDF. Are you referring to text that has been created in PM itself? Or text that has been imported from elsewhere? Either way, it shouldn't matter.

Re the lineart. Is it in GIF format? If so, that would be why there is mention of index colour. Can you open the lineart in an image editing software (not sure if Photoshop or Illustrator would be best here - try both?) and convert it to either greyscale, or what Photoshop calls 'bitmap' i.e. 2-bit format (black only).

Make sure you place the graphic files, not copy/paste.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply.
The images are indeed being placed as opposed to copy and pasted.
All images show as greyscale tifs in Photoshop.
The text is being typed right on the Page Maker page. It is not being imported.
Still baffled, and appreciate your reply.
Nancy
