Is there a direct way to test if a user/extension has been signed in? I've searched the threads and cannot find an acceptable option.
Currently we have the need to route incoming calls to the associated sales rep, accomplished by DB Lookups. However, if they do not answer is a prescribe time, the call needs to flow past them. The specific action is based upon the DDI, time of day, and various externally configured settings. One of the options is to direct to the sales person's VM, other include routing to a routing to one of several special hunt groups or directly to on of the HG's VMs.
We have this system working, except for one particular use case: the user has not signed into their extension. We are doing an assisted transfer and when the extension is not signed in it kicks immediately to VM, not flowing out (neither as Next, No Answer nor Busy). Ideally, we'd like to be able to test like we do for DND, but testing has suggest that is no fruitful. Given the number of sales people and associated turnover, settings up a "personal" HG for each user is not practical, nor is turning off VM (which I have seen may be a solution).
Thoughts/solutions/maniacal laughing?
