Hi
I have 1 cluster T2000 + 2 3320 Storedge single bus.
I would like to perform high load on the shared disks to test the performance.
Do you know where I can find a free tool to perform this test
Thanks for your help

I believe SunVTS (Validation Test Suite) is free and can do what you need.

If you have Veritas Volume Manager look for vxbench.

Hi Annihilannic
I have used this tool before but it doesn't really do what I want.
I would like to generate a randomly (on different shared disks ) high traffic to validate the scsi speed of the 3320. It seems that there is an issue at high traffic which is caused by the scsi controller. all the shared are going into maintenance state.
Thanks

Which one did you use before? I'm not overly familiar with VTS, but I'm certain vxbench can do what you want.

Hi
I used vtsprobe which only check the health of the FRU.
By the way I am using Solstice DiskSuite so can't use vxbench
Thanks mate

vxbench should work on any type of filesystem, if you have a copy of it somewhere.

Thanks Annihilannic
I ll give it a try and let you know

Cheers
