We are testing alternative solutions to Polycom soundstation devices and the 5310 has been recommended. I have hooked it up to a 5330 and the sound is great coming and going from the 5310 as long as the volume is turned way down. If the volume is up at any reasonable level the person(s) on the other end of the conversation get terrible feedback. It's almost like the speaker phone on the 5330 isn't disabled when the conferencing unit is on. Anyone have any ideas??

I hate all Uppercase... I don't want my groups to seem angry at me all the time! =)

Not hooked up 5310 to 5330 yet but it has some options in the menu check that one and make sure you do not have the long cord of the conference unit wound up, the magnet in the speaker can do “magic” with a cable around it.

I had a similar issue at a site, what size of board room do you have?
These sets are very sensitive, and if the room is too small, the speaker will pick up the feed back for the noise bouncing off the walls.

Personaly I don't recommend 5330 and deploy Polycoms IP and analog units.
What I found that this unit has no internal mixer for multiple microphones. So if you have nice decorations with reflective surfaces in the conference room, then you are in trouble.

Try to push "speaker" button and stop switching of microphones and see if it will impove the situation. It will stop picking up sound from other directions, keep this in mind.
