Using the msrdpcli.exe client, I can connect remotely very well to Terminal Services running on Windows 2003 server. If you enter a program in the Programs tab of the client, you can have a program load on connection and close when you close the connection. However, I would like to go one step further.

I would like to prevent a client from seeing anything except a selected program - currently, if they were to remove the program from the Programs tab, they would be presented with the server desktop.

Obviously I could provide access to only certain resources via their login, but I can't see how to stop them getting access to the desktop, let alone only seeing a selected program.

Usually,
just a half-aXXed suggestion but take a look at some of the group policy options available in W2003server.

there is a group policy option that will allow only certain programs to be run at logon and when they are closed it logs off automatically.
