Pls i wanna understand that what is terminal service in win2000 and what its configration

Terminal Services allows users to connect to the server using a client or TSweb client. Clients connect and processing is all done on the server. All the applications intalled on the server are available to the client as long as you install the apps using add/remove programs on the server.

The benfits of using Terminal Services is that lower spec machines can use high demanding programs as all the processing is done on the server and the PCs act as Terminals.

We use Terminal Services web client for our remote users. they can connect via the Internet to access network resources and email. It works well on a dial up.
