Terminal Services has been running fine on all of our servers then all of a sudden one server will not respond to any terminal server connection attempts. I get an immediate error that says this server might have 1 of 3 problems which it lists.

I've checked every configuration setting and all is well, are there any tools that could help me in finding what the problem is? Keep in mind the server that is not working is right next to 15 other servers that do work so it's not a firewall issue.

Thanks for any feedback.

Well of course I've done that. I've also removed TS from the server and reinstalled it. Any other suggestions?

What are the three problems that it lists?

The normal error message which is the following:

The client could not establish a connection to the remote computer.

The most likely causes for this error are:
1) Remote connections might not be enabled at the remote computer.
2) The maximum number of connections was exceeded at the remote computer.
3) A network error accurred while establishing the connection.

I saw the same on one of my servers. After going crazy for a few days I:
Removed Terminal Services.
Reapplied servicepack 3
Installed TS.
All is good now.

I didn't want to reinstall SP3 but if nothing else I'll do that and see if that works and update here.

You need to activate Terminal services. Grace period of 90 days is expired.

Do you have a licensing server? Is this a win2k machine? If so, go to an active directory server and start/programs/administrative tools/terminal services licensing. Make sure you've got licenses in there. Also, check the event log on your ts server and that might give you more clues. Also, I'm sure you've already checked, but are you able to ping the server?
