Hello, I have a windows 2000 SP3 server running TS in app mode. The clients are all Windows 2000 pro and reside over a WAN link. I have a problem where (just example) 8 users can try and logon but 4 of those get a black Terminal Services screen and just sit there. Also it seems to only happen on these particular boxes. I have rebooted the server which sometimes remedies 1-2 machines after reinstalling the client. What am I missing here? I have 8 users training but should have 50 users on this server as soon as this pilot team works everything out with the app. They get to the app through straight forward published desktop but I dont think this gets that far when it has problems. Any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks

i posted this in citrix forum but I would like to add that My license server is activated and running with no errors however i have never installed a client TS CAL. all clients are win2k pro I thought they had built in cal's But im concerned they arent being released and as i add a new workstation it may have run out??? not sure on this one

make sure your 90 days aren't up on the licensing server. you would need to manually add a license pack. i'll bet this is where the problem is. and you're right about win2k cals - they're built in. however, the server will still need a ts license pack. :(

If its happening to the same users only delete the users profile folders from the system example: c:\documents and settings\users1 and then log them on again. I have found this happens when the profiles become corrupted.

I have checked the license server and it is fully activated :) so there is the TS cal for the time being I have given users full rights however when this happens they never get to a login prompt, si i dont think it is a profile issue either, thanks and I'll keep on playing with this.
