I have a term server running and have many users connecting to it over a wan. Today there is one pc running win 2000 pro that can't connect to it. It gets the error: The Terminal Server has ended the connection.

The pc can ping the server by name and ip and it was connecting fine until today. Anyone else see this?

Thanks

These are usually link problems. The server seems ok since everyone else can hit it. Test ping with fixed packet size to see if there is a problem along the route(Q274805). Problems like that go away sometimes ... and return sometimes, all by themselves. Jim - Synnex Info Tech

take a look at Event Viewer, to see what it says....Maybe there is any policy going on to that user, or maybe too many users are trying to use the same connection at a given time. A+, MCP, CCNA

The only thing the event log says is:The TS can't issue a client license. Event ID 1004

The try on going to TS manager and disable web licensing (Just uncheck the little box) A+, MCP, CCNA

Try turning off one of the pc's that can access it, and try to access the ts with the one that can't. If you can access then the folks earlier are correct. I only run in admin mode, so 2 licenses is all I need worry about. Might want to look into tightvnc, which is a free remote tool which multiple users can run the server from elsewhere. Great tool.
