Hi,

I have a Windows 2003 Terminal Server, which has Office 2003 loaded. Users are getting "documents recovered" in Word or Excel that they did not open or have ever opened.

Example
User logged in, opens Word and selects a document makes changes and saves, exit word. Launches word in maybe 5 minutes or later and gets on the side pannel "document recovery" for 2 documents (not always the same documents) that they have never opened.

The user has not exited the RDP connection. It does not happen all the time.

Windows 2003 has all it updates

Help !!!!

During the time frame of the five minute wait, does anyone else open documents?

Yes, we have about 70 users over 3 offices. Users are in and out all the time.

Regards

Just wondering if the documents being recovered are documents that are opened by other users....

As this is terminal services, each user has a unique login which gives the user their own user folder. For a user to open word or excel and get another users document sounds like a security issue or another MS bug

CamDal brings up a good point. Are the documents in their own folder? Or are all the documents being accessed in a "general use" folder?
