Currently the default TS display setting for remote users is 256 colour. How do I change this. The server is currently set at 32 bit colour.

What are you using to connect to the session?

If a third party app, you may need to look at options, depending upon the app. If you are using Microsoft's Remote Desktop connection, then I know it will be in the options "screen". Upon starting RDC, click on the options button, click on the display tab, and you'll see the option to change the color. You must be warned though, your experience with a higher rated bit will effect your bandwidth. If I remember correctly, Windows 2000 will only allow 256 colors, but I could be wrong.

Using Windws XP Pro as desktops
I have read a tek note in 2003, that W2000 TS only supports RDP5.0 which supports only 256 colours. If you want increased res, you have to go to RDP 5.1 which is supported by W2003 server. If anyone knows whether there is a fix ie RDP5.1 working on W2000 please let me know1
