Hi

We have received a new windows 2003 server with terminal server. We do not have Terminal Server experience. How do we setup clients to access the terminal server via rdp, without them viewing server in admin mode and have each user have their own desktop profile.

Thanks

First off, you need to be in the proper forum, which is Secondly, that's a pretty basic situation you're asking about. In general, setup the terminal server in application mode, grab a good book or consultant, and have at it.

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

Newtoitall, there are plenty of resources on the MS site covering Terminal Services basics

If you can't afford external help, your best bet would be to setup a test TS environment (using physical h/w or by setting up virtual machines using Vmware/Virtual Server).

Hope this helps

Hi, thanks for the reply. We managed to identify the problem with the licencing, the user CAL were not installaed correctly, hence why we were presented with admin desktop as instead of user desktop.
