Please help,
My problem is this, our company uses Windows 2003 Terminal Server as our method to connect three offices (SF, Miami & Naples, FL) and using Peachtree with terminal server required a workaround (see below). It is pretty simple and am pretty sure it isn't the problem.
The problem is when I open Crystal Reports and select the database expert to make the connection to my Peachtree data, Btrieve is not an option. It should be there and once it is it will work well. I know it should be there because when I install the same programs on my laptop with Windows XP Pro it's there and connects the Peachtree data through Btrieve in the database expert. I've tried other connections methods and the next best option appears to be selecting Database files. It recognizes Peachtree's .ddf files but when I select one it gives me this error, "Query Engine Error: 'No database.dll has been specified.'"
I need it to work on the server. Can anyone help with this? Thank you for your time and suggestions.
Sincerely,
PPIE
Workaround = copy pcw100.ini, pcw110.ini or PPA110.ini (depending on flavor and release of Peachtree) and the bti.ini files to each users C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\WINDOWS and change the registry to look for those files there instead of the default folder. This allows mulptiple users to use Peachtree on a Terminal Server.
