Hi

LD 20
PRT
TNB

At the DN prompt enter the DN of the phone - this should print out the TNB

Thanks but the DN was gone to can't find any trace of the extension at all is there a way i can "ping" the phone?

If the phone is still physically hooked up, jumpers from your MDF through your can do it several ways then. Send tone from the jack/outlet then locate it on your frame. Or if the phone was a digital set, plug it back in, If you have the date and time you have a physical connection. Ld 32 and look for your disabled units with STAT command. Enable the diabled TN's your phone if sstill on the switch should come up and ID process from that should be easy enough, call another digital set and see the calling number display, if you have 3900 series set the DN will display on the phone then back to LD 20 prt DNB

Thanks...sorry for being stupid...it is a digital phone m3310 when the phone is in the extension it displays model? (20) if this can help help me :)

Easiest way then send tone back to your main frame and chase out the jumper for your TN. THen look in switch LD 20 prt TNB, if TN is still there then you will most likely have to re-enable it with LD 32 ENLU TN number

when it i try to do ld 32 i get an sch could it be under another number? i suppose to chaseout a jumper is is to actually physically look some how on the main frame? oh in case you haven't noticed am a bit of a novice at meridian

No worries, at one time everyone using this forum was a novice and if they are honest, they are all still learning.

Chasing out the jumpers with a tone generator and inductive amp or some call a "fox and hound" will be a fairly easy way to find your TN and its connections.

If you get a SCH code for LD 32 then it could be your TTY port does not have MTC in its USER capabilities. If you know your TTY number you can check that by LD 22 prt ADAN
Look at the ADAN numbers for your TTY port, then in the USER prompt see if MTC is there.

If the phone is displaying "Model" it's connected to a DGTLC equipement not configured. 2 reasons : the equipment was never configured or the DN is in Set Relocation Mode. In the second case, you can print Set relocation numbers in LD 21 PRT SRDT. If you find any datas in that block, you may find the DN.

In the first case, you can try to allocated a model and number to that phone. Model 20 is the default one and must be configured if you want to autoconfigure your phone. LD 20 PRT TYPE 2616 M, MODEL 20. If model has been deleted, you can program it : New 2616 M ....
Then system ask you for a DN. Give an unequiped DN. Your phone works. That feature is only avaliable on Option 11.

Problem sorted thanks to everyone especially worldwidedialtone
