terminal count exceeded

Hello,

I am getting "terminal count exceeded" on an AIX 4.2 Risc box. That 7 network users and 3 dumb terminal users however there are more licenses than that. Ay ideas?

Hi Scott,

May have a look at "smitty pty - Change/Show Characteristics of the PTY" and "smitty tty - List All Defined TTYs" and check if number of allowed terminals is what your expect

try "smitty chlicense" and set a new amount.

Hello,

Went into "smitty chlicense" changed that from 16 to 20

no help. So I went to 25 no help

Went into "smitty pty" changed pty from 16 to 25

no help. Any other ideas?

Okay I found the issue.. It was a problem involving the app running on this machine that I know little about.. grrr..
