I created a bat file that simply does "logoff" It is in no way reliablew and half the time doesnt work. User has to just close the window and server will reset in a cpl minutes. if I find the seesion id and do "logoff [session id]" It works great but I can t ask users to find their session id. Is there a way to help users logoff more reliably? "start / logoff" user doesnt work in these cases either?

Start/Logoff should work and is the preferred method for a user to end their session. What happens when your users try Start/Logoff? Any errors? Is 'Disconnect' also listed as an option under Start/logoff?

I make my clients a short cut and pasted it on their desktop.
Name Log Off Server (or whatever you would like)
C:\winnt\system32\logoff.exe

I have never had a problem with it, and my clients like the fact that they can just click an icon to log off.
