I would like to know if there is an easier way to configuring users and extensions in bulk as opposed to one by one.
I am finding it tedious when I have 100 plus extension to configure at a go.
I have tried creating a few users then exporting and then editing and importing back into the system. It has not worked.

Try exporting the entire config and just editing the relevant sections.

I usually export the users to a csv and copy paste a user list with extension numbers from an excel file. Then create user rights profiles to get buttons and other details plugged in.

You can create a template from a user and the import copying settings from that template, works quite nice.
