Telnet Password Incorrect on Cisco Cat 2948G

When I import a 2948G the Telnet password is labelled INCORRECT. When I import any of the routers the telnet passwords say OK. I have tried changing the password several times to be sure I typed it correctly and it still does not work. Does anyone know if there is something special about the CatOS that I can't use telnet from RME? Please advise.
 
There are two things I've discovered that impact checking attributes on CatOS devices.

One is having a TACACS login identified in the attributes. We have 800 devices, of which 650 use TACACS. These are spread across several platforms so we configured the attributes globally. Since the CatOS devices aren't using TACACS the telnet password always showed incorrect. Once we deleted the TACACS info from the attributes the telnet password registered as correct.

The other issue impacting the attributes was on some devices the telnet password would reflect as being incorrect unless we also have the same password entered as the "enable secret" password in the attributes. Setting both with the same password resolved the incorrect password issue for some CatOS devices.
 
Thank you. I see what you are saying. I read a little more about this and it sees that Cisco has labelled this a a bug way back in RME 3.1 and think they have fixed it in 3.4. We currently use 3.4 and obviously the problem is still there. I was able to export my device attributes to a file and quickly saw that I did enter the values correctly and that RME is simply reporting these incorrectly.
