I am trying to set up a linux laptop to telnet into my SCO box. I have set the hosts name in the /etc/hosts file, and set the routing information as mt linux eth0 address. I cannot ping the SCO box. I have put the linux box IP in the SCO hosts file. This box works fine on linux network.
Also, is there a command like control C to stop the ping function in linux?

Just set the box up, and no, I cannot ping from the SCO box to the linux box, or the other way.

I originally set the linux box at home in a linux network and it works fine. I changes the /etc/hosts files on SCO & linux box, but cannot get ping to worl. I have read the manuals for SCO and can find nothing that should be set up that is not.
Any suggestions appreciated.
