I have access to my customer's Octel 200 / Serenade systems via telnet to the system IP.
Is this type of access possible for a 250 or 350 and has anyone set this up?

Only if the 250/350 has had the back board upgraded to accomidate Ethernet conectivity.

OK, octelvoice, I don't understand? I have only used a telnet server before.

the 350 will need to have, if it's not already, the back plain upgraded to allow Ethernet connectivity so you can use a Telent server. it's really just an expantion of the back board, you should be able to see it on the back plain, it will be the only Ethernet connection back there if it has been done. If not you can order the kit from Avaya. You can also accsess the 250 via Telnet if you have a LAN card.

If you can access a 350 or a 250 Via the LAN card please let us know how. The 350 and 250 use a telnet server that is connected to the async port on the ccf that is programmed as a terminal or to one of the J ports on the back of the 350. There is no need to even have a LAN card in them if you are trying to IP into them for system Admin
