Hi All,

I have a teleworker server for a customer and for some reason or the other it is not connecting to Mitel, test the internet test and it fails but within the network I can ping the server.......
Has anyone ever had this problem before???

What I also noticed is the everything else on the network can access the internet except for this server.

Is the default gateway set correctly? Also might be a DNS, or firewall issue. I assume there is an external address nated to it. Can it be pinged from the outside?

Yes default gateway is properly set, DNS and I even connected it to another network and having the same result.

If the system cannot reach the internet then check the firewall rules also that the firewall meets MBG requirements for running in server only mode.

Server was also connected to a network with no firewall, running an older version....6000 MAS....7.0

It happened to me once, I took a backup, reinstalled msl, restored and it worked again.

do an ssh to the MBG ip address, eter as root and use same password you use for admin. from prompt ping the 3300.
Also, from the 3300 try pinging the MBG.

Also, from msl console there is an internet test, what does it says?

Also, try synchyng with amc, the see if it works. Try all that before reinstalling

Did the test from the console and that failed.

it could be a faulty NIC as well.

Plug your laptop directly to the server NIC and do the ping test again. Dont forget to set a fixed ip address to your laptops nic, one from the same subnet as the MBG.

if that test fails again i would suggest you do a fresh install. Make a back up of your current configuration so you don't have to clear hardware id in AMC

Have you verified it's not a DNS issue? something like ping 8.8.8.8
Also I have seen times when reconfiguring the routing gets hosed. From what I gather, this was once in server-gateway mode then change to server only. If so does it have 2 nics? It's possible a reconfig from the console could set things back to working.

In some older systems I ran into several upgrades where if the internet nic was live, the routing was f'ed.
