Hello,

I have Micollab with voice, set up with integrated database. Syncing between all blades works fine. But when I create external contact in the Telephone directory of the MCD it is not shown in the Micollab client. I can only find it in the Phone book of the desk phone.
Is that expected behaviour? Is there any way to show the telephone directory entries in the Micollab client?

Micollab client - 6.0.509.0
MiVB - 7.0 SP1 PR2

Thanks
Peter

They should be created in the active directory as a contact.
Sync and add the contact by selecting this entry and clicking on add.

Greets another Peter :)

Thanks Peter,
but we don't use integration with AD in here. Is there any way to sync directly between MiVB telephone directory and the Micollab client?

Peter

AH i misread the question.
They just do not shore up at all, i found that out too.
I wonder if this is better in the next micollab with voice release.

That's not great... But thank you for reply anyway :)

Perhaps I just don't know.
I did my first install a month ago.
6.0 is not integrated very well with mivb.

if your not using AD you can turn off single point , create dummy user with 5320 phone and a number that is sassigned as a speed call in the MiVB

eg
in MCD 7000 is speed call to 0,xxxxxxxx ( o is access code)- company name bobsbits

in Micollab 7000 is 5320 with default micollab client profile

once created single point can be tunred bakc on again

this should display in micollab lists and if clicked should dial 7000 which mcd will recognise as speed call

NOTE: when it goes to flow through provisioning this will probably get removed as a non conforming entry.

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

But that is a nasty workaround.
Or directory should be synced or you should be able to add them in micollab.
Hopefully this is done better in 7.0

nope no changes there
yes i agree you would think the designer might have considered a MiCollab server set of contacts but no.
still not high on their radar , you need a large sale hanging in the balance and a heap of DCRS asking for the same thing before it gets improved
