Telephone beeps

I have a telephone that has a very short beep like it is trying to ring when the telephone is called. The telephone is a Meridian 2008 HF display, but was originally a M2006 but when the problem started I replaced telephones in the process so I had to create a new one, TN, pairs running to the building, and I tested the horizontal cabling and it checked out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Also I was wondering what would cause a telephone to intermittently ring non stop when receiving a call? This is a seperate telephone in a differetn building.

example:

instead of ring ring ring it goes ringringringring and doesn't stop until unplugged. There are no pauses.

Does the DN appear on many phones, and are those phones on the same digital line card? If so, move this TN to another card and test.

I have tried moving the non ringing telephone to other cards.

I am not sure how to update it and I don't know the last time it was updated, I took over the system a couple months ago. Also changing the telephone to RNGB instead of BUZZ didn't fix the telephone that doesn't ring.

You might want to to disable the class of service for testing:

FBA ->FBD
GPUA ->GPUD
DPUA ->DPUA

also try a different number for the SCR key or try the phone on another working TN.
