I have been administering Telecommuting for several years but it is really grown popular in the last year. We are having a few issues surrounding the step where the coverage path brings the call back to office VM.

1. Rel.11 switch. Call just rings on and on because the distant phone has call waiting and the call recipient does not pickup the call.

2. CM 6.0 switch. Calls ignore the settings in the cov path telling it to ring 3 times and go to office VM. Rather it rings 5 times and goes to cell phone VM.

BTW these are the instructions I send to users:

Chi- REMOTE TELECOMMUTING TW 101
INSTRUCTION FOR MERGING YOUR OFFICE PHONE to YOUR HOME PHONE

PROCEDURE for CHANGING the COVERAGE PATH

1. Dial 1-312 ***-**** (outside) or ***** (inside)

You hear dial tone

2. Dial change coverage access code: *22

You hear dial tone

3. Dial your 5 digit office extension and press #

You will hear nothing, just keep going.

4. Dial the 5 digit security code and press # The Security Code assigned
to your extension is your five digit office zip code.

You hear dial tone

5. Dial 2 your new coverage path.

You will hear the confirmation tone (2 or 3 beeps).

To change back to the “in office” coverage path default, dial 1 at step no. 5.

NOTE: Your voicemail will not follow the coverage path to your home phone,
rather it will return to your office Voicemail box if you do not answer
at home. So continue to check messages at your work phone by calling
312-***-**** and following the prompts.
