Hello-

When we try to dial international we get a message from the telco provider saying the call cannot be completed as dialed. When I checked with their tech support he had me make a few test calls. His data is showing in his words

So from my traces, this is what I see. The top line is your test call, as you can tell by the CGPN value. The difference I see between our two calls is the CDPN value at the end of each line. For whatever reason, your international calls are not hitting our switch with a country code.

I looked at LD 90 and the SPN 011 is setup on the 61C

I would think if the switch was not setup correctly that we wouldn't even have the call leave the building?

Is there somewhere I can check and see if the 011 is being stripped off the call before it leaves out switch?

Thanks

Some more info...If I dial 804 (puts me on the circuit) it gives me dial tone and I don't need to dial 9 for an outside line like we normally do. Even then I cannot complete my call, I get the same message from telco (DSCI in this case)

Is this a telco or a switch issue?

With NI2 011 is not sent in the call---the d-channel tags the call as international---however!!----Lately I have had to send the 011 when interfacing with these telco providers that hand off a circuit from a VOIP gateway. In that case I build a dmi that inserts 011.
Print out the RLI in LD 86 that the spn 011 points to and if that spn of 011 is the only thing pointing to this RLI---build a DMI that inserts 011. If you are not sure if that is the only spn or npa pointing to that RLI---build another RLI with that DMI and point 011 at it.

Go into LD 96, turn on DCH messaging and confirm whether or not you're sending 011.

Just because you're able to dial, does not necessarily means you're sending the correct digits. If you're not sending, then change your DMI call type to International and try again. If you're still not sending, insert 011 and try again.

Thanks for the info guys.....sounding a bit naive here but what is DMI? I know my way around the switch doing adds moves and changes and can add area codes etc but I've never worked with DMI. I'm sure I could figure it out with being pointed in the right direction?

Ok I did some digging in Mikes PBX cookbook and saw that my RLI 6 is set for DMI 0

I dont see DMI 0 configured on the switch but I do see 1, 2 and 32?

DMI 1
DEL 1
CTYP UKWN

DMI 2
DEL 0
CTYP UKWN

DMI 32
DEL 0
CTYP CDP

Is this info helpful?

DMI 0 is a default do nothing to the number

Like they say go in LD 96
. enl msgi x
. enl msgo x
. enl mon tty

x=DCH number call is going out on
The TTY must have a USER type MTC

Look for the setup message, normally if the TON=INTERNATIONAL then the 011 is not required however if it goes out UNKNOWN then 011 is required. If you seem to be stripping it with DMI it would usually be the INTC prompt at the bottom of the NET_DATA (LD15 and 21 to print). If you have INTC=011 in your NET_DATA but you wish to leave the 011 on the call remove it from the NET_DATA.

Check out this thread I posted but no one seem to have this problem thread798-537206
