I have a Tektronix Phaser 850DP That prints fine then on the last page will show a jam, Then it will clear the jam then print a nother page. Over and over. The last page will keep printing out. Has anyone else had this problem? PLease help me with this one Thanks

Where does it show that the jam is occurring? Go into fault history through front panel and find teh lastest jam codes. These will start with 22,xxx.xx;xxxxx, this will help determine what is tripping a jam sensor.

Thank you for your reply, I have taken the machine and removed the base paper tray and I still get the same results I thought perhaps the tray was causing the jam to take place. I have gone in to history and below you will find the found codes.

The error 22,508.08 is of the Preheat entry sensor. It is behind the front cover.
It is a plastic piece on the right side before the rollers where the paper enters the preheater. It triggers a optical sensor on a combined sensor board.
Try to find if one of them is blokked or broken.

On the fru list is is:
650-3618-00 for the sensor and
351-1047-00 for the board

That sensor is flimsy, like most in this printer. You'll have to take it apart a good bit to get to it, but I suspect that the sensor has either disintegrated or popped out of it's socket. Take it apart and see.

And just incase you didn't really check out that webpage, those part numbers were for the 840. For the 850, use the following (Still never a bad idea to check it out yourself though)
650-4156-00 - Cap/wipe/purge home flag
351-1106-00 - Preheat entry/left edge sensor, A-size sensor, hand feed sensor

I removed the cover and the side panel and checked the sensors on the board below the 65-4156-00 and they all look ok. I did not use a meter to see if there was in fact doing what they should be. I did wipe them off there was some dust in there I will put it all back together and run it to see if the problem is still there, I don’t know why not I have not done anything except clean and vacuum it out. I did look at the web page above Jake thanks anyway, I really do want to thank every one of you who join and post to this board, It really shows that there are still some guys out there keeping the tech connection alive on the net. May God Bless you all
