We started using a cheaper wax(advertised as a replacement for Tektronix wax) and the printouts started streaking. The repair man said we need to replace the print head because we used the cheaper wax. Is this true?

I saw a reply later in this forum that said that this is true. I am curious as to if you contacted the ink vendor and asked them about their guarantee?

i have seen the same problem here and yes the cheaper wax is a known problem (without naming the company) there is one company that is aware of their wax problems and will replace the heads free of charge but you need to contact them as they have not ackowledged this publicly!
