I have Messaging 4.0 in which I'm trying to change the IP address so I can use it on my lan. I have been able to connect via the lan port by changing the IP address on my computer to match that of the system, but it only works with the sysadmin user login. The tech1000 that I have read about that allows for the IP change doesn't work?

If you haven't figured it out already,

To do that, you have to come off your computer com port to the RS232 port in the Messaging. Use the 34000 8-n-1 on Hyperterm, connect and click "enter" a couple times to get the login.

You don't need the Tech1000 login to change the IP configuration. The sysadmin login works just fine. From the main menu screen choose Configuration, then choose IP Configuration - and make your changes. The Tech1000 login only allows additional access to a few error log screens - the rest is the same as the sysadmin login.

Thanks all! It turns out I had originally read the baud should be set at 9600 and when I changed it, it worked fine!
