I have searched high and low for a solution to this problem with no luck, although it seems to be a common problem. I have installed Apache server 2.0.59 and then Cold Fusion 6.1. When I go to view any .cfm file in the browser I just get asked if I want to save the file, and yet .html files are served to the browser no problem. Basically, the server is not recognising .cfm files. Does anyone have any ideas what is happening? I have seen solutions but they are either for IIS or they just plain don't work.

Have fun!)

OK, cancel that. It is now working. I haven't a clue why, but it is working. I used the computer name in the URL instead of localhost.

Have fun!)
