I was wondering if you or anyone would could tell me why.. (this is a school district issues again) Teachers need access to all student folders.. they need to be able to read/write and execute to these folders... I 've checked the teacher OU and made sure that they have FULL CONTROL permissions to the Students OU AND all when I right click on a student folder and go to properties/security I see the teacher group is set with full rights to the student folder... My question is: why is it when a teacher logs on their pc they go to My Computer but don't see any student folers.. is there something I'm missing here? persistent map? something other than what I've done in order for teachers to see the student folders??

thanks for any help at all!!

first of all , see the share perms , and the NTFS perms ...
see if you can get to the folder by : \\server\share

ofcourse you need a mapping for them (it is much conv. to work )
do it at the logon script ...
