Hi,

one simple question:

For backing up Domino Databases is it absolutely neccessary to enable Transaction Logging on the Domino Server?

Regards

I haven't done it. I was not sure to be able to restore, and seems quite difficult, need to restore de mailbox + the logs, So I 'm doing a full bkup everyday of the week

a incremental on saturday , and an archive (Lotus stopped)on sunday

Hi all,

without Transaction Logging everything is fine.
We have Domino 7.01 running on Windows Server 2003.

BA Client is 5.3.0, TDP for Domino is 5.3.2.

We have aenabled Transaction Logging on our Domino server in Archive mode.

But incremental backups won't work, connection to the Domino server works fine, selective backups work fine - no errors.
But when I enable Transaction Logging on our Domino Server the TDP Client starts but it only checks all mail databases but does not back them up.
It says "check 189 databases - backed up 0"

The only database it backs up is "dbdirman.nsf"

My Domino colleagues say the domino transaction logging is working fine.

Thanks in advance
/egr
