We have a customer with a TDE600, there is a option card with sensors installed.
We have door reed switches connected to the sensors.
The idea is after hours when a door is open, the wireless handsets (10 of them) should all ring at the same time and display what door is being opened.
If the call is not answered, we need to ensure that it is logged on the wireless handset.
Currently we have been given the following workaround:
1) Door is opened
2) Analog extension is tripped and looped into a CO port (physical connection)
3) CO port is set to an ICD group
4) The wireless handsets display the line # and ICD group name
5) THE CALL IS NOT LOGGED IF MISSED OR ANSWERED
I’m being told that the call is not being logged as there is no call display information being sent over. However the analog extension is setup with the doors name.
I don’t under stand why the sensor does not provide an option to dial a ICD group directly, however the door phones allows this.
Can you please help us think outside the box for any other solutions?
