Dear Panasonic Gurus,

i'm planning to migrate our old Siemens Hicom PBX to Panasonic TDE 200.
We're thinking to start with the dsp 16 card to connect with our branch offices in South East Asia over Internet-VPN. We have 2 extra public ip address that can be use for this.
Questions:
1. Is it going to work, one TDE200 with 10-12 IP Phones in branch offices connected over Internet VPN?
2. What VPN Router would you recommend for HQ and Branches?

I really appreciate your kindly help on this.

Best Regards,

Roni

it will work, bandwidth is going to be the first thing, if using g711 it will need about 85k per phone and g729 will need about 40k each

you wont need extra external address if you have vpn setup

I have used cisco or zyxel routers.but sonicwall and netgear are good as well

Thank you obt for your fast answer.
We have 5 Mbps dedicated line at HQ, and 2 Mbps at branches, i think for 1 or 2 ip Phone should be enough.
Could you please mention what model is the netgear VPN Router you have used?
Thank you.

Regards,

Roni

I have not used netgear, just cisco/linksys or zyxel but have connect to existing ones installed by the IT guy

Thanks obt! I will try and let you know.
