I have been using my old TDA30 for years, but just trying to get it to use a Virtual PS to route calls to a mobile (ie a mobile extension)

I have set up the Virtual-PS fine (Ext 230) and when calling that number the divert works perfectly, I then added this extension into a Call Distribution Group (601), now when calling the group the divert doesn't happen.
I removed all numbers from the Group down to the single Virtual PS (ext 230), now when the Group is called, busy tone is received.

I assume the problem is down to COS, but can't figure it out.
This is driving me mad, any help greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I don't think this is possible on a TDA30 (TDA50 here in US). I think on the TDE's you had to have an advanced license to do this.

Thanks for the reply.

The manual says it should work, it even gives an example. The divert does work fine on the single Virtual PS, just not when added to ICDG.

you need the enhanced licence which was an sd card change with a file imbedded in it. not sure if you can still get them. where are you

I am in the UK, currently have Rev5 software loaded.

Why are you putting virtual PS into a group for?
Are you trying to divert ddi?

I am trying to get an incoming call on CO1 to ring several extensions and also a remote extension (Mobile) at the same time. The virtual PS is set to forward all to the mobile (this works), the CO line is set to ring the extensions + the virtual extension. Dialling 230 (the Virtual PS) forwards on a different CO and behaves as expected, but when 230 is added to the ICDG no longer forwards and returns busy.

You need the enhanced sd card try Electromaster or nimans in the uk. Not sure if you will get one as this system is end of life.

You could have the ps as overflow destnation and set to 20 seconds so if no one answers the group it will call mobile

Even if you have the enhanced SD card it may not work depending on the type of CO lines you have. According to the TDA50 manual "ELCOT/LCOT CO lines and channels of a T1 CO line set to LCOT do not support this feature."

Thank you for your comments, according to the TDA30 feature guide it is a valid feature with this enhanced SD card, I am trying to get hold of one or at least the files to add to my current card. It is actually specified that TDA6920, 920 or 3920 SD card is required, I never spotted this originally.

I have cut and paste the relevant page from this manual (Rev 5 s/w)

1.32 Cellular Phone Features
1.32.1 Cellular Phone Features—SUMMARY
Description
This PBX provides features to support the use of cellular phones and other outside destinations with the
PBX. Calls can be forwarded from virtual PSs to outside destinations such as cellular phones, and then
answered as if the user was at an extension within the PBX.

The following features can be used with cellular phones and other outside extensions:

Outside Destinations in
Incoming Call Distribution
Group
Up to 4 cellular phones can be assigned as members of an Incoming
Call Distribution (ICD) Group, and receive calls to the group.
→ 1.2.2.3 Outside Destinations in Incoming Call Distribution Group

1.24.6 Virtual PS

Just an FYI. If you look down further under
"→ 1.2.2.3 Outside Destinations in Incoming Call Distribution Group" it states:
• ELCOT/LCOT trunks without reverse circuit detection (→ 1.5.4.5 Reverse Circuit) and channels of a T1
trunk set to LCOT type do not support this feature.

the tda 30 and the tda 50 are different systems. you do need bri 2 for this to work as well as the enhanced sd card. if you do get one, you will have to turn on disa monitor to allow you to transfer calls back to extensions in the office

Thanks everyone for your help.

I have confirmed and enable Reversed Circuit on my CO Line, I have also done as suggested and set the overflow to the virtual PS on no reply. This all works very well.

I do still want to get the ICDG working, I am struggling to find or get hold of a Rev 5 enhanced SD card, does anyone know what file I need to add/replace on the sd card ?

Please excuse my ignorance, but what does BRI2 give me and why do I need it.

Many Thanks

After looking around, this is what i came across. I have just copied and pasted. Let me know if you achieved what you wanted. Otherwise my approach would be different

Title: ICD Groups with Cellular Phones as Members.
Systems Affected: KX-TDA100/KX-TDA200
Associated Tech Notes:
1. The KX-TDA6920 or KX-TDA0920 SD Memory Cards are required.
2. This feature only works with PRI Lines. LCOT and T1 not supported
.
Setup:

1. Go to 1. Configuration – 2. Portable Station. Assign Virtual PS Extension
Numbers. One for each Cell Phone you will be using. This will become the Cell
Phones Extension number.
2. Go to 4. Extension – 2. Portable Station – 2. FWD/DND. Each Extension assigned
on previous step should be Call FWD to respective Cell Phone number. Make sure
to enter 9 before the phone number.
3. Go to 2. System – 7. Class of Service – 1. COS Settings. Click on CO & SMDR
tab. Set Call Forward to CO to Enable.
4. Go to 3. Groups – 5. Incoming Call Distribution Group – 1. Group Settings.
Enter in a Floating Extension Number for an ICD Group. Also set Distribution
Method to Ring.
5. Go to 3. Groups – 5. Incoming Distribution Group – 4. Members. Enter in
Extension numbers you wish to be part of ICD Group, including the Virtual PS
Extensions you assigned in step 1.
6. Go to 10. Co and Incoming Call – 3. DID Table. Set the necessary DID’s
destination Day to the ICD Group Number assigned in step 4.

bri 2 is the isdn card. without the enhanced sd card you wont get mobile integration in a icd group

Any analog phone system can be made to forward to mobile if a 3CX is incorporated. I have done it with Bell analog PBX and Panasonic KX-TEA308 and KX-TES824.

Bring a 3CX into play and you will get it.
The free version is enough to get you what you want.

Isn't 3CX PC based? How do you incorporate PC based software into a PBX like a TDA30?

Here is the reply in brief since i am in a rush:

Get a PSTN VoIP Gateway such as Grandstream GXW4104/GXW4108 and plug in a few extensions from the TDA30.
These become trunks to the 3CX Phone system. The Free version of 3CX Phone system Ver12.5 will allow you a maximum of two outgoing calls via the trunk.
For what you would like to achieve, i advise just plug two extensions from the TDA30 - Its enough.
Therefore, from the TDA30 direct your incoming calls to one of the extension that you have connected to the PSTN VoIP Gateway.
The 3CX Phone system will use the second one to call your mobile.

In a nutshell, while configuring the 3CX, set up an one extension (OPERATOR)and let all calls be immediately forwared to your mobile.

There is an outside bound rule to setup in 3CX.

Have done this and it works great.

Actually, with 3CX intergrated to an Analog phone system you can use IP Phones on the phone network and both the Analog phones and IP Phones call each other on the INTERCOM Netwrok

GOOD LUCK.

Thanks everyone for the ongoing help with this problem.

I have adapted the idea from Otoni but just using the TDA and achieved the result I was after.

I had a spare analogue trunk line, also a spare SLT extension.
I have looped the SLT to the Spare trunk.
I have set the spare trunk line to simply ring the one extension (the virtual PS that calls the mobile) so no ICDG.
I have added the SLT extension into the normal ICDG for the main trunk line.
So when a call comes in, all local phones ring, as well as the mobile, the only problem I have is adjusting the audio gain correctly, the volume at the mobile end is a little low, turning the gain up on the CO line causes sqeeling, so I need to try a few variations to get it better.

I still want to try the enhanced SD method, if I can find the files needed.

Thanks everyone for your help.
