TDA 30 maximum handsets?

I've got a bit of a problem with a TDA30. As soon as I connect more than 10 handsets the two DLC cards in the expansion slots won't power any more handsets and after a few minutes the DLC's turn off, but the SLC, base four DHLC's and all lines remain active. Tried different DLC's with the same result.

Is there a maximum number of handsets on these things, or do you need a larger power supply or something? Being an Avaya and Samsung tech I'm a bit out of my depth on this one

Never mind. Just found a TDA50 manual (which seems to be the same as a TDA30 here in Australia? ) that states an MEC Card and an additional power supply are needed.
