Hi

Would appreciate any assistance with the following:

We have a W2K3 Domain (native) that spans a head office and branch connected via VPN . DC's are installed at a main office and also one at the branch. For some reason the branch DC has always pointed to a Windows 2000 server as the primary DNS server and the main office for the alternative. I want to phase out the Windows 2000 server so should I point the DC DNS settings to itself as primary and the head office as secondary (or the other way around).

Thanks!

I would point the server to itself first then point to the HQ one 2nd. No need for extra traffic if it all can be done locally.

Yeah that's what I was thinking - Cheers.
