Tbl w/6408d set ,no DT & lites at times

Here's my tbl...I have a 6408 digital set no DT & leds(lites)at times...ext# goes to 2 different tie pairs...have tested set at equip.side ( prologix )purple boards...plug in set works fine..when it gets to 1st tie pair...working correctly...but when it gets to 2nd tie pair I loose dial tone..(only the speaker and mute button lites up) when depressed...but no dial tone ??? have changed pairs in 2nd tie pair location still doesn't help..I'v tested cable to jack, ca.& jk.are good..I'v even changed ports just in case...doesn't make a difference...also change set to new one...could their be something on the Menu button of set that can cause a lockout of set????...and finally I used a good known pair from an exsiting digital pair to really isolate the tie pairs...there is no distant problem because this set worked at this location before tbl was reported. It acts as though I have an open or short...any ideas...

Kicker is... sometimes it'll come up w/ DT and I can call it and answer it but then when I hangup....after a few seconds I lose DT again...(at where the set is installed at.)

Do you have a high voltage source such as a copier, electric heater or ungrounded DS line nearby that could be causing problems?

If yoy have bridged cable pairs digital set do not like them. Also i think there is a 2000 ft limit on cable pairs
for digital phones
