taskbar.....please help 1

guys i know this is a stupid question and trust me i am ashamed to ask, but anyway here goes..my son is on the computer right..i come back and my taskbar is at the top of the screen..how do i get it back to the bottom?..and how do i set it up where i can arrange my icons and have them stay where i put them(ie:some on the right, some on the left, some on the bottom,etc..)

Just left click on it and drag it back to the bottom.

that was to easy..thank you..how about the placing my desktop icons where i want them and have them stay there...

Right click on the desk top, select arrange icons, uncheck auto arrange then drag them where you want them.

did that..you know how when you move an icon it automatically ends up as the last icon in the last roll..now it won't even do that..when i uncheck auto arrange it still won't let me move them where i want..any ideas..

If you unchecked auto arrange they should stay put. I just tried it on my 2 machines and they stayed where ever I put them.

are you using a video card that also controls the icons like "matrox" it has an icon in the task bar with popup list and a icon selection
