Tas Books is an accounting package written using VB & btrieve (I have registry entries for 6.15), and I want to connect in excel to its data files using ODBC. All of the files start with "MTA", and have file extension ".B"

I've tried pointing the pervasive ODBC at the data files directory, but seem to be getting nowhere?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Green

In addition to the data files and ODBC driver, you'll need a set of DDF (Data Dictionary Files). The best source of these DDFs would be the vendor of the application. If that's not a viable solution, it might be possible to build DDFs for the tables but you'll need to know the structure. THere are several third party tools on Pervasive's Component Zone ( that will let you build DDFs.
