Just a quick question. If I develop an app (VB.Net) that uses an MDB to hold data, does the target machine have to have MS Access installed?

No. Access is required only if you are running an Access application. You do need the appropriate JET Engine libraries as references in your VB project.

The Package Deployment wizard do this for me, right?

Yes ... with a cavaet.

You are probably using ADO and ADO functionality is dependent on the MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) release that is installed. The P&D wizard will not upgrade the target machine's MDAC release to the one that you are using. That may not matter if you are just doing basic stuff with ADO but if you are getting into newer ADO features then you will need to include the appropriate MDAC release code with your install.
