We currently have an Avaya IP Office system and have a third-party application that the recruitment team use that supports TAPI for making calls and our plan is that when a user clicks on a contact number from the recruitment software it would then ring the user’s software phone on their computer.
So far I have installed the Avaya Tapi 3 driver and configured the user credentials in the Avaya Tapi software on the local computer and on clicking a contact that has a valid number from the recruitment software it then makes a call from the local Windows Dialer application and the call is established.
The issue that I have found though is that when any calls are made each time the user’s desk phone makes the call and I wanted to ask if anyone can recommend any Software phone that we could install that would support Tapi but the call is made on the software phone instead of the user’s desk phone as this would be ideal as sometimes the end users work from home and leave their desk phone in the office.
Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Pete
