I am trying to install TAPI on a WindowsXP Home PC and get the following error...
"Error 1406 Could not write value Password to key \SOFTWARE\Avaya\IP400\TSPI. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personel."
I am an Administrator on this machine.
I have the option of Ignoring the error, which I do and then the installation reboots my cmputer.
Upon relogging in, TAPI Installation continues but then halts with the error...
"Error 1720 There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personel or package vendor."
"OK" is the only option and when I click it, TAPI uninstalls.
Any Ideas???
Note: I am creating a Demo PC and have IP Manager, VoicemailLite, and numerious other applications loaded but not running on this machine. Antivirus Software is AVG and Firewall is Plain Widows.
