I'm upgrading a ipo403 (3.0) to a new ipo500v2.

They're using the tapi driver in 1st party mode. (free)

In the new setup there will be Hotdeskers using the tapi driver.

Any thoughts on how this should be done? The tapi driver seems to connect to a user and not to an extension. However the user can sit somewhere else the next day. Re logging in the tapi driver is not very user friendly.

They're using some third party outbound dialing utility that uses the tapi driver...

The tapi driver is installed on a PC so then you need to change the user on the PC.

When you use the 3th party tapi driver then you can select which extension you want to use.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

they don't login the pc for a different user. The software is station specific.

The guy operating it however is not. They have 20 stations. I don't believe I can install the driver in 3rd party mode more than once.

I found a way to automate a re-login of the TAPI driver without a system reset.

You should share the process so anyone else wanting to do it can, that's the whole point of these forums :)
