TAPI Dialing problem

I've written a very simple TAPI app that pulls phone numbers out of a database and dials them using windows 2000 phone dialer.
In some cases, I need to add pauses and extra digits to call into voice mail systems. The extra digits are no problem, but windows 2000 phone dialer does not accept the standard "," in the dial string for a 2 second pause. Has anyone else run across this issue and found a work around? Any input would be appreciated.

You can always use an MSComm control to access the modem directly. The ',' for a 2 second pause is standard for all Hayes AT compatible modems
