Tapes not read on HP Ultrium 1 SCSI

Hi All,

We are having an issue with our HP Ultrium multiloader tape drive. It is attached to an HP/Compaq infrastructure running Windows 2003 Enterprise Server.

Recently we have begun to receive the following error message everytime we load in a new tape:

media error [absl:4050 cmd:10h]

Has anyone seen this before or have any idea what this is about...even a hint. Cannot find anything on google.

What backup application are you using that causes the media error?
