Tapes not appendable

Running BE 9.1 build 1158.9 on Netware 6.5.5. Suddenly, none of my tapes are appendable, regardless of how much data is on them.

In the media set, overwrite protection period is infinite and append period is infinite. Yet every job overwrites the tape.

I have changed the tape deck and completely re-loaded BE including new jobs, policies, etc. Nothing helps.

Any clues would be most appreciated. I've been running BE for many years and have never seen this before.

Looks like the problem was a bad SCSI terminator. There were no errors anywhere in any log.

Sheesh.
