Hi,

I've had a job that ran over the weekend and is reporting that it backed up 1.4Tb of data. I can read the log and can see that everything seems ok. But, The tapes in the drive haven't been renamed and have kept their previous name (which was erased). Has Brightstor (11.5 by the way) gone wrong in some way ??

Regards

Scott

Ok, it looks like I may have a problem with my database. Is there anyway after I have fixed my database (initialise) that I can get Brighstor to see the real name of the tapes and also the data that is stored on them ?

Normaly to use old tapes to new comple backup you must to format and erase all the tapes located into media group before launch complete backups.

If you don't format and erase the tapes the system asing old tape name.
