Tape Rotation Problem

Here's a scenario:

Full Backup on Sundays
Incrementals on Mon-Fri
Sat off

Let's just say I'm out of town on Friday, the Inc tape is not switched out for the Full on Sunday. I come back on Tuesday, do I just go with the next sequential Full tape or do I go with the next Incremental tape that would normally be in?

IMHO go with the next FULL tape. It really depends on how you have the Full Bkup configured. If you specify a tape from the default pool, you can use anything; I have pools for Incremental, Full and default. If you specified a particular media pool, you will have to insert a tape from that media pool.
Why not have someone insert the appropriate tape on Saturday? Of course that won't apply if you're a one man band like me.

One man show!! Have four tapes in the same pool(7day retention), so two in save(1 incr and 1 full) and two in scratch set at any given time.

I have the Full in now, so I'll let you know tomorrow.
