tape drive recommendation

Can anyone recommend a good tape drive that is not too expensive. I am looking for a 4mm Dat (DDS4 compatable) External drive. I am replacing two IBM tape drives that are not compatable with BE 8.6 for Windows 2000 server. Thanks for your input!

HP Surestore tape drives seem to be fairly reliable. See if you can search for online user reviews of specific products before you plunk down your money though.

I suggest go for Compaq DDS 4 20/40 with DRTape ready.Firmware makes lot of difference.Go for plug n play
